Following an amazing adventure to the Le Man Classic this year, Auto Umbau is embarking on running various events for their customers.

So what happened in Le Mans?

Robin, Terry, Kimberly and Gavin met at the workshop for 6.30am on the Friday before the big event and set off for the EuroStar in Kimberly's freshly prepared 997 and the Auto Umbau support van. Along the way they met up with varying customer cars as well as some of the worlds most adored classic cars... and still in the UK! That Eurostar crossing most have contained a very expensive cargo that day. The drive down to Le Mans alongside these beautiful cars with a couple of required food stops along the way, was a delighted in the French sunshine on excellent roads.

Arrival at Le Mans and the Lyceum Events campsite on the Porsche Curves was effortless. The camping pitch was ready and so well laid out that the incredible facilities available was just the icing on the cake... well done Joy and the team at Lyceum Events.

What followed was an incredible two days of beautiful cars, exhilarating racing, tall stories and lots and lots of laughs. A highlight being midnight on the Saturday watching race cars spit fire from their exhausts as they sped past the marquee.

And just when it could have all ended with just a hard and long journey home, the French roads became one long Motor Show all the way back to Calais. The Le Mans Classic 2016 delivered on every level for any car enthusiast.

So what happens next?
